The past two nights I have walked home in the drizzle eating Papaya Dog fries and cheeseburgers, giddy with the discovery that when you order to go and receive the styrofoam box you are given more fries than if you were to order them separately. I could use a life makeover, but instead I’ll probably just head to a bar. A beauty bar, of sorts – the toxic smell of nail salons and hair products gives me an insta-headache. Alcohol on the other hand…also gives me a headache, but a day later after a few hours of lubed up gloriousness.
Beauty Bar is celebrating the launch of a new location in Bushwick, steps off the reproachable J,M,Z at the Myrtle Avenue stop, this Friday and Saturday. Both nights have a healthy line-up of dee-jays and drink specials, but the crucial hour is 9-10 pm, when 3 Olive vodka is free. Get thee to Bushwick.
