Apparently I am the only person in the United States who did not watch Michael Jackson’s televised memorial yesterday. I was out and about and not near a computer or TV but through friend’s descriptions and the magic of Facebook status updates, I feel like I was there.
Tonight at Whiskey River on the East Side you have the chance to celebrate the King of Pop one last time–costume style! Show up dressed as your favorite version of Michael and win a free beer. The person with the best costume gets a $100 bar tab.
If you’re feelin’ saucy and wanna show off the moves you learned watching that Filipino prison video over and over again on repeat, walk up to the badass-est looking guy in the bar and ask him straightfaced if he “Wanna be startin’ something?”
Then, before he clocks you, dominate his shit in the Thriller dance off competition!
7 PM / Whiskey River/ (575 2nd Ave.)
