The Castro is known for many things. Referred to as “America’s anus” by Dave Chappelle, it’s a cozy little spot where you can pretty much get away with whatever you want. With all of the bright lights, countless bars and fairies skipping around the streets, I like to think of it as a chunk of Vegas in San Francisco. And that’s why I’m so excited to skip around at the Castro Street Fair tomorrow. It’s kind of like Folsom, but a lot more clothes and a lot less semen. It didn’t make Monica’s cut for the top 9 festivals, but like I said, there’s not much semen and I think she’s kinda kinky like that.
There will be live performances and tons of give aways, and vendors setting up booths including yours truly. I’ll be there volunteering for my work, a doctor and I will be doing FREE skin checks for melanomas. ‘Tis the season to check for lesions, cancer is such a buzzkill! It’s a great way to make sure you’re in the clear while giggling with a few queers. Come by and get naked!
