I'm an old fart and I attending the first Love Parade held in Berlin in 1989, the first year it started. I had to been to a few raves before that, but nothing even compared to the almost 500,000 people there. Completely packed and rolling your ass off during the day and packing in the most obscene dance combinations. Of course, it was so badass that San Francisco does it's own replication which I find a poor substitution (as epic as it is). I remember the huge retinas and manic feeling of having to move and the sweet sound of an accented voice as opposed to the American twang of "I love you." Crazy floats and amazing bright costumes, more original and unique. Beautiful skies and beautiful people.

Oh to pick a single dance party as my favorite is a toughy. Was it that rave in West Oakland or that time on top of twin peaks or Spring Fling sophomore year? No, no, no... its got to be that late night on Treasure Island. After Management finished their set at the most recent TIMF, I and a few friends I randomly ran in to decided to wait out the line for the bus for a bit. Surprisingly the tunes were not over for the night. Some DJ kept us dancing for another couple hours. Good beats. Friends. SF Cityscape(@night). Fresh Air. Ahh how I love to dance.

The best dance party.. hmm, it's a tough call, there have been some awesome ones, but I think it must have been the unintentional "mud fest" I ended up at while at Roskilde Music Festival in Denmark. Mind you, Barcelona's jumped-in-the-fountain dance party came close, but it's hard to ever forget a time when you are dancing wearing rain boots in the mud with people. I have been to a couple raves, but sweating is one thing, but dancing in rain in the mud definitely makes you remember. I recall at one point Bjork was up there and then Peter, Bjorn and John and me and the Norwegian girls were drenched so badly that we felt we were dancing in a pool thanks to the flooding issue. Best part: still friends with the girls I met at this and reunited with one two yrs. later. Best parties are ones where you have fun, make out (haha I talk to the guy I made out with too, he was Danish), and make awesome friends (major plus!).. Oh Memories!

Went to see Benny Benassi in concert when I was 20yo. Apparently it was a 'white' party, but I didnt know what that was or realize it until I got there. No big deal right...well not only was I not wearing any white, I was wearing a bright green shirt that could be seen all the way across the venue. fml

My first time going to a rave was this halloween. My friend and I were so excited to go that once we got through the securtiy check, we both found it best to run into the place which ended with us both falling face first onto the floor. Did I mention we were both wearing dresses...? haha :)

My first ever time at a rave, my older friends gave me big, gooey, choc filled 'shroom brownies and I ate two! They kept telling me I was gonna trip out and start crawling on the floor, and I did...then they told me I was gonna feel like feeling up the chairs, and I did...so basically they kept telling me what was gonna happen, and I kept doing those exact same things...till they told me the brownies were chocolate and had no traces of anything but cocoa in it.

They are not my friends anymore.
Hahaha, this is also my most embarrassing memory, ok not the most, but you get the idea. Help me show these friends down by winning Tiesto tickets!!b

We were backpacking Greco-Roman ruins in the south of Turkey. The guards were really bored sitting around in the hot sun with a boom box. They asked us to show them our dance steps in the amphitheater while they played some oldies on the boom box. The cheers of encouragement echoed off the ancient marble
