Think opera is just for rich biddies? Well think again! We have three pairs of seats to give away for FREE to see Hansel and Gretel at the Metropolitan Opera. The show is on December 17th at 8 PM.
Why would you care about Hansel and Gretel, you ask? Well, the Met boasts that it is “haunting, charming, and a little wicked.” Sounds right up your alley. Miah Persson and Angelika Kirchschlager are the lost siblings, and Philip Langridge reprises his outlandish portrayal of the Witch in Humperdinck’s take on the Brother Grimm fairy tale. Don’t miss the grotesque masks and costumes, and fear not the subtitles, for Hansel and Gretel is sung in English.

Even if you don’t win our giveaway, the Met is offering tickets right now for as low as $20. (Considering that the lowest prices are usually around $90, either Hansel and Gretel sucks or the Met is sharing some holiday cheer. I chose to think that it’s the latter.) Hansel and Gretel runs about 2hrs and 15min.
Impress your date with tickets to the world’s greatest venue for voices, and if they raise any eyebrows at those ripped jeans or neon kicks, just smile your badass smile and make way to your seats.
