Since not everyone on your holiday shopping list will want some of this awesomeness, you’ll probably have to do at least some of your gift buying somewhere else. Luckily the merchants of the Mission District know you almost as well as I do and realize that you might want to party while you shop. That’s why they organized the Mission Holiday Block Party!
David from Room 4 emailed me about it sometime last week and then I was reminded about it when my lady and I stopped into Bianca Starr over the weekend. According to David:
Over 30 independent business in the Mission are throwing a party NEXT FRIDAY, 12/11/09. There will be FREE snacks and beverages for shoppers, free tunes as you stroll and everyone will stay open til 10pm and feature special SALES and pricing all night.
That sounds pretty good to me. But I still think you should take the advice from Mission Mission and brown bag a little something extra just in case. To get a full list of participants, go here.
