The Really, Really Free Market THIS Sunday

Updated: Mar 27, 2009 19:00
The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

These guys have their canvassing down because I was offered the same pamplet 4 times in 30 minutes at Stubag’s book reading last week. It’s the same flyer as the Feb.22 event with the old date scratched out and 3/29 handwritten in, which makes all the animosity disappear.

The idea is straightforward: bring anything and everything that you think someone else might be able to use.  In turn, take home whatever you find useful.  In its communal spirit people are encouraged to bring some food and drinks.  Other potentially available free services  include:  music, bollywood dance, hugs, tax planning, yoga, haircuts, silk screening, and advice.  My two cents?  Try to unload your electronic ab stimulator belt and come out with a sick haircut.

Where: 55 Washington Square South in the Judson Memorial Church (south side of the Washington Square Park near NYU)

When: Sunday, March 29th 3pm-7pm
