Overboard Party at South Street Seaport

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This could be YOU!

It’s scary to think about, but summer is kind of, sort of coming to an end. I know it won’t officially end until Labor Day, but one can’t help but feel the coolness in the air, that smell of fall and the fact that so many summer event series are on their very last run.

Along with concerts in the park, beer gardens and rooftop parties nothing says summertime like a party on a boat!  And the next best thing to that is a party that LOOKS like it’s on a boat! Am I right, people?

This Saturday interactive art and culture organization FIGMENT brings you the OVERBOARD party, a nautical dance benefit that will have you walking the plank and hitting the deck to the finest DJs this side of the Aegean Sea!  It all goes down at the beautiful and historically relevant Battery Maritime Building

Get in your best pirate, mermaid or sailor gear and get to the Seaport by 10 PM or a salty landlubber ye be!

It’s a little pricey ($15/$20) but more than worth if for a great cause, and for a fond farewell to NYC summer.

Saturday // 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. // Brooklyn Maritime Building [10 South St] // $15 advance, $20 at door
