Best of 2009 with the Bushwick Book Club!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

To celebrate their ground-breaking, literary songwriting dare-devilry of 2009, Bushwick Book Club is having a night of musical highlights from the whole year – tonight.  Go and hear songs about Breakfast of Champions, What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, Flatland, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Watchmen, James and the Giant Peach, No One Belongs Here More Than You, the Bible, Confederacy of Dunces, and the Origin of Species.

The event has FREE entry, but they still mention that all proceeds from the night will go toward production costs of The Bushwick Book Club compilation CD to be released in January 2010.  With Anna Leuchtenberger, Ben Krieger, Dave Novak, Dibson T. Hoffweiler, Maria Sonevytsky, Susan Hwang, Sweet Soubrette, Victor Varnado, Liv Carrow, Laura Brenneman, Joe Crow Ryan, Rachel Devlin, Buffie Roseanne, Corn Mo, and Phoebe Kreutz.

Get out there and show off your literary prowess and hum along!

Danielle Levanas - Bargain Soul Huntress

Danielle Levanas - Bargain Soul Huntress

Danielle was raised by a pack of coyotes in the Los Angeles hills. Since arriving in NY in 2001, she has had any number of strange jobs, including back-up singing for JELVIS (the Jewish Elvis), starting the non-profit LYDIA, and writing political cabarets. A huge advocate for travel as a way of life, you can find her at the Brooklyn Public Library when her bank account is empty, fantasizing about where to head off to next.
