Letters of Note: Your New Biggest Addiction

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

For the past two days since I discovered Letters of Note, I have been glued to the computer, pausing only to eat, sleep, earn my meager pittance as a freelancer and email snippets of these amazing letters to loved ones.

The site is curated by a freelance writer who scours for interesting postcards, letters and other written ephemera from interesting people or on interesting subjects.

Check out:

A letter from JD Salinger to a producer explaining his refusal to sell the film or stage rights to his novel.

An amazing letter from a father to his little daughter while he is away fighting in WWII

A hilarious, tongue in cheek letter from Al Franken to John Ashcroft

And many more.  Kiss productivity  at your job goodbye.

BAS Writers

BAS Writers is mostly a collection of articles written by people for the early days of this site. Back then nobody knew that snarky articles they were writing could come back and haunt them when job searching a decade later.
