I’ve been sitting on this tip for awhile now. The PR folks for Gallo Salame sent it to me like a month ago, but I wanted to wait publish it until it neared. This is simply because I know you fuckers would probably forget about it and I don’t want you to miss a FREE meal.
To celebrate 100 years of business, Gallo Salame is doing a pop-up restaurant called Trattoria 1910 in which you’ll be getting a “vintage 1910 San Francisco dining experience”*. But instead of rolling back their prices to period specific figures like Fior D’Italia did, their just giving out their food for FREE! The grub includes: “Flavorful appetizers, authentic Italian sandwiches, pastas and much more, including decadent desserts”.
From May 28th-June 18th, FREE lunch will be served Tuesdays-Fridays from 11am-2pm and appetizers and snacks from 5-7pm. The bad news is that all the lunch reservations are booked up. The good news is that cat from the PR company assured me that walk-ins were accepted.

*Wait a second, I hope it’s not too authentic of a 1910 dining experience because wouldn’t that mean that Blacks, Jews, and Chinese would have to use a side entrance or something?
