I consider myself a pseudo-scientist. I watch a lot of science shows on TV. Once upon a time I got a ‘five’ on my Biology Advanced Placement test. I even got a scholarship in biology for college. Alas, I was making more jokes in lab than getting experiments done and I abandoned my science dreams for more theatrical pastures.
For those of us with dashed hopes of science grandeur there is a monthly free lecture series called “Geeking Out.†This month’s Geeking Out is guaranteed to satisfy the gross side of your science mind. Hosted by Gelf Magazine, this Thursday will feature a talk with Gene Kaplan author of What’s Eating You? (that’s about parasites, people) and Louis Sorkin, an expert in….wait for it….BEDBUGS…at the American Museum of Natural History. EEEEEEEEW!
Admission is FREE to this geeky-grotesque event and drinks will be available.
