Free Comedy Night at the Oasis

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If you’re aching to get over to the East Bay (or your friends living over there are sick of your excuses for never visiting) then Sunday night, the Oasis is the place to be! There will be 3 comedians, 2 screenings, and 1 DJ and a dance party under the stars, all for FREE!!!

Awesome deals like $4 for a beer and a shot are the solid foundation of any good event, not to mention a smorgasbord of entertainment and laughter. The two films screened include “The Tale of Lester Rhymes” and “Wasted” which, as the facebook invite put it, is a “smart-yet-fucked-up TV pilot in talks with Comedy Central.” Sounds like my kind of fun!

DJ Dizzan, recently voted “Best DJ in Albuquerque,” will be spinning and there will be additional surprise music guests. So, if Father’s Day has gotten you down, head over to Oakland for some laugh therapy and cheap booze!

Free Comedy Night
The Oasis
135 12th St. (7 min walk from Lake Merrit BART) [Oakland]

Alison Lambert - Half Price Headliner

Ali was born and raised in the Wholesome/Creepy capital of the world, Salt Lake City, UT. Once she was old enough to blow that pop stand she escaped to the place that was the anti-SLC: The Peoples Gay-public of Drugifornia aka San Francisco (holla 30 Rock!). You can now find her throughout this glorious city slurping Pho and scheming with her best friend Pinky doing what they do every night; try and take over the world.
