Hapa Ramen Pop-Up Ramen House

I just found this on yelp and and it sounds like something you weird lovers of pop-ups and street food would dig.  As you can tell by this information that I’m about to paste below, it’s only gonna be at this location for one night.  Now’s the part when I paste that information:

For one night only, San Francisco’s Hapa Ramen will be hustling its bowls of gold from our 24th & Valencia street pop-up Ramen house.

We’re not leaking the specifics just yet, but if they were to leak, they’d probably taste like miso, pork and sea vegetables with a dash of izakaya-style Japanese food (which will also be on the menu, provided by Kitchenette).

Sake will be available.

Now don’t get all like, “Bitch I got hella ramen in my cupboard!  Why am I gonna pay someone else to put hot water in that shit for me?”  While that’s a good question, you’re missing something here: this isn’t the ramen that you by in bulk at Costco.  This is good quality stuff made with fresh ingredients.  And it’s a pop-up, and I know you just love those kinds of things.

this dinner was a poor choice for folks looking to eat inexpensively.

Really? Bummer. They hadn’t listed any prices, I just figured it would be cheap since it was street food. How much was it?

we got to 24th/valencia and were confused to see absolutely no activity on the street. turned out it wasnt street food at all, it was in the nearby wine bar ‘heart.’ $11.50 for a bowl of ramen. while the ingredients were high quality, the quantity was small, easily less than 1/2 the size of what is shown in the photo in the post.
