Indie Mart & Alamo Square Flea Market Join Forces This Saturday
How many times have we told you to get your ass down to Indie Mart? Like a million times. If you haven’t made it out to one yet, then you still don’t know what kind of unique or inexpensive finds you’re missing out on. It’s like a farmer’s market, except the local produce is cute jewelry, freshly printed t-shirts and revived vintage wear. At the last one Stuart walked away with a sweet vintage belt buckle that says “STU” in Schoolhouse Rock-era lettering.
This weekend’s even comes a little closer to home (for me at least) as Indie Mart and the long-running Alamo Square Flea Market team up to bring you an extravaganza of “Estate, Antiques, and Vintage Treasures” on Scott St. in Alamo Square. Our friend Kelly Malone from Workshop/Indie Mart will be leading DIY and Craft activities to keep the kids entertained while the rest of us peruse the aisles, and of course there will be food and free valet bike parking. If you’ve been too lazy to truck it down to Potrero Hill for the regular Indie Mart events at Thee Parkside, then you really don’t have an excuse anymore.
