FREE Extreme Animals Show Tuesday at SoEx

YouTube’s a pretty great invention. I like that there are heart-meltingly adorable otters holding hands and episodes of Food Party all in the same magical place.

I had never heard of “high-NRG electronic music band” Extreme Animals (David Wightman and Jacob Ciocci from Paper Rad) before but judging from their MySpace page and YouTube videos, if you go to their FREE show at Southern Exposure, you’ll experience a Tuesday night to put all other Tuesday nights to shame. Or at least make most Tuesdays jealous.

The event is described as “a disjunctive array of live shredding, extreme feedback, YouTube bombardment, ecstatic dance moves and Sunday morning cartoons.” I’m imagining it to be what it would be like if you put a bunch of YouTube videos in a blender, dumped in a Nerds Blizzard from DQ and a Redbull, threw in a plugged-in amp and drank it up with a straw. Delicious mind-jolting brainfreeze.
