Homemade Bad Movie Night Tonight at Argus Lounge

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Mind-bending, I'm sure.

Remember that time you got your hands on a camcorder when you were a kid (or teenager, or college student, or full grown adult) and you suddenly knew, that this thing you held in your hands would be your key to becoming a rich and famous director like Martin Scorsese or Casey Affleck. Well, now you can have your chance to screen your best/worst work for a real paying audience as Argus Lounge hosts the Cut and Run traveling film festival. The festival specializes in “short, avant-garde and experimental video” and your $2 entrance fee (sliding scale) not only makes you their benefactor but it also gets you a chance at some free drink tickets.

Want to enter? The only requirements are the film is under 10 minutes, in DVD format and made by you (no cheating!)

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
