See Grand Lake and Other Local Up-And-Comers on the Cheap Tonight at Milk

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Music! Bicycles! San Francisco!

I remember way back when going to hang out at Milk on Haight meant listening to rap DJ’s and getting accosted for dollar menu money by the loiterers in front of McDonald’s, but my how things have changed. The dollar menu at Mickey D’s is gone and our friends over at Epicsauce have been bringing in a range of different artists for cheap and free music on Thursday nights.

In this week’s edition, Epicsauce has teamed up with Indieshuffle to bring an awesome lineup of locals like Oakland foursome Grand Lake, and San Franciscans Ash Reiter, and Sunbeam Rd, with Burrows rounding out the lineup. With only a $5 cover, that means you’re averaging a buck and a quarter per band, which is actually less than you’ll be paying for a McDouble these days.

Grand Lake, Ash Reiter, Sunbeam Rd, and Burrows
Tonight, September 16th, 8pm
Milk Bar
1840 Haight st at Shrader [Upper Haight]
$5 cover

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
