"Never thought I'd be on a boat...it's a big blue watery road"
I haven’t been to an actual movie theater since I saw “Toy Story 3,” which was way back in June. I have, however, seen movies in the park and in bed on my iPhone (thanks to the awesome new-ish Netflix app). Let’s face it: Movies are pretty bad-ass wherever you watch them (though FREE park flicks are infinitely easier on the wallet than $10 matinees at the Metreon).
Tonight, though, is especially bad-ass, as the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association is screening “Moby Dick” in a very appropriate venue — the Ferryboat Eureka. Have you ever seen a movie on a boat? I can safely say I haven’t and I’ll gladly fork over the $5 to do so. Plus, hunky Gregory Peck on the big screen? That’s definitely a treat in itself.
The website says “refreshments” will be available for purchase, but if I were you I’d fill on up the old flask. That’ll help with the fun factor AND the hypothermic weather situation.
