It may seem stupidly obvious, but since nowadays it’s often easier to just replace old or ailing possessions, we need to sometimes be reminded that things can be fixed. Easily. Cheaply. Quickly.
The next time you think “Damn, I’m really sad that my favorite _____ just bit the dust,†take a deep breath and assess the situation. If said object is at all salvageable, it’s probably worth a little research and effort to fix that shit. It’s better for the environment, your wallet and the world. Whether you DIY or take it to a pro, you’ll feel happier and be richer in the end. Everybody wins!
Most shoes, from your kickin’ sneaks to your sexy/badass boots can benefit from a little TLC and frequent maintenance. Weatherproofing, polishing, and re-soling are just a few ways to maximize the life of your footwear.
I have an uncanny ability to rip jeans in the most awkward, unflattering ways possible. Thankfully, I have found a wonderful tailor (after some serious Yelping) who has frequently saved my ass (literally and figuratively).
There are few things that can’t be fixed with a hot glue gun, mod podge, and sand paper. Just google it.
