FREE Screening of “The Goonies” with Cheap Beer

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Ever wish you had all of Data’s cool inventions? Miss watching the truffle shuffle? Want to reconnect with your deformed man-giant childhood pal? Then have I got a show for you! Come down to Pacific Standard for a screening of the Goonies with cheap beer, delicious snacks, and it’s all for a good cause.

While the movie itself is FREE, everything else purchased during the screening, which includes three-dollar pints and scrumptious cupcakes, will go towards a very deserving charity- the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It’s not only deserving due to it being a highly worthwhile cause, but you should give back to Michael J as it’s the 25th anniversary of 'œBack to the Future.' Thank him for figuring in so prominently in your childhood and for not being Eric Stoltz with your donations via beer. There will also be a raffle with Gotham Girls roller derby tickets and other prizes.

And always remember: GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!
