DIY Chalkboard Wall

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I have issues with my kitchen; there’s no surface space, not enough cabinet space and most of my dishes are chipped castoffs. However, I’ve been looking at a few DIY-improvements to class up the joint and this one caught my eye:

It’s an easy way to glance at a recipe, keep a grocery list, or bitch out the roommate who keeps stealing your soy milk, play tic tac toe'

You can have a lot of fun with this. Plus, all it really takes is a couple of coats of chalkboard paint.

Bonus idea: use the chalkboard wall to highlight shelves or apply paint to other objects.
