Full disclosure: I have never been to a strip club. I have heard reviews ranging from “the most depressing experience of my life” to “sort of okay.” I want to believe that Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club embodies the latter — because it’s offering $2 drinks every Tuesday and Wednesday in March, and I’m totally going.

I heard the recession was over, but thankfully, Mr. Flynt disagrees. The man who brought you the famous meat grinder Hustler cover and a landmark defense of the First Amendment now offers us beers and well drinks for $2 apiece, and although we can only guarantee it through the end of March, the club claims it’s “not going to stop until the recession ends.” I can’t vouch for drink size and strength or the hotness of the Hustler Honeys (yet), but all signs point to yes on the website. For the rest of the month, you can find me there getting my money’s worth.

OF DRINKS. Get your mind out of the gutter. Jeez.

Two Days of $2 Drinks at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club 1031 Kearny St. at Columbus and Pacific [North Beach] Tuesdays and Wednesdays in March, 11:30am – 2am $2 beers and well drinks

Sarah M. Smart - Red-Light Special

Sarah M. Smart was summoned into being on a distant ice cream planet
through an unholy union of Two-Buck Chuck and unicorns. They sent her to Indianapolis and then the University of Missouri's School of Journalism
to spread peace and big hair. Perpetually in mourning for the comma, she
has worked for a variety of print media, including Indianapolis
Monthly
, Global Journalist, and Vox. Since moving
to San Francisco for the booming dumpster-diving scene, she has been an
online operative for such fine folks as Horoscope.com , Neo-Factory, and
Academy of Art University. After a day of cat-feeding, hat-making,
dog-walking, vegan baking, and daydreaming about marrying rich, all she
wants is a margarita as big as her face.
