FREE Outdoor Movie – When Harry Met Sally

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Nowadays when your significant other requests dinner and a movie your night can turn into a bank account busting endeavor real quick.  Lucky for you the 1989 romantic comedy classic “When Harry Met Sally” will be playing for FREE in Union Square on Saturday July 16th.

An event like this could be a real confidence booster; anytime a guy that looks like Billy Crystal can get with Meg Ryan in her prime it gives hope to even the nerdiest of gentlemen. Maybe Billy’s success will empower you to ask your date over for your next D&D session or give you that window to show off all the sweet armor you’ve acquired for your WoW character.  Since our fair city is known to get pretty chilly at night make sure to wear something warm, might be a good chance to show off your chivalrous side and let her borrow your formal Star Wars hoodie.  Even if you’re not a fan of Billy Crystal, or Meg Ryan or the film’s Academy Award winning screenplay the novelty alone of hearing the now legendary diner scene blasted over a PA system with a few hundred watts should be well worth the 2 bucks on your clipper card.

Brown bag a few tall boys, grab some picnic snacks and you could be in and out of this date for less than a box of milk duds at your local multiplex.  Info about future screenings can be found HERE
