I never understand why anyone hesitates to perform karaoke. You don’t have to be good or even mediocre; all you have to do is entertain. So don’t bother coming if you’re not ready to give us a show, but if you are willing to perform air guitar solos, bust Fly Girl moves, and/or take a knee while belting out a Meat Loaf ballad, Encore is for you.
The best night for karaoke at Encore is Mondays. It’s the least busy of the nights, and based on my personal observations (they are many), it’s when the better singers seem to come out to play. The downside is that these experts tend to choose songs that show off their skill — that is to say, not crowd pleasers. So you’ll have to provide your own Journey and Madonna. Pro tips: Don’t submit more songs for yourself until after your first request has been played, and make sure to tip the DJ!
Did I mention happy hour is EVERY FREAKING DAY at Encore? Happy hour equals $3.5o wells and $2.50 domestic beers, just so you know. Come early, get liquored up, and start singing at 8!
