Guys guys guys, it’s here! My favorite weekend of the whole year. It’s the Del Close Marathon at the UCB Theater! Over 48 hours of non-stop improv, right in your favorite grocery store basement in Chelsea. Over 140 groups will perform at the event, and a $25 bracelet gets you in and out as you please the entire weekend. It’s the absolute best, and we will never be friends ever if you don’t agree.

Even if you’re one of thooose people who prefer not to sit in a crowded dark space until 5am all weekend, there are some lesser-publicized but still awesome shows around the weekend. Tonight, UCB founders Ian Roberts, Matt Besser and Matt Walsh host their own $5 shows featuring Horatio Sanz, Jon Glaser, Chris Gethard and more. Throughout the weekend, there are also a handful of $12 shows featuring the Colbert Report writers, the UCB touring company and on Sunday, a grand finale ASSSSCAT 3000 to end the weekend.

Check out the full schedule of shows HERE. It’s going to be awesome, and you know it.

Jill is an Ohio native and Boston University graduate who refuses to stop saying "pop" and wearing her Red Sox gear despite being heckled for doing so since moving to Brooklyn. She's been honing her thrifty ways since doing that silly thing people talk about when they ignore reason to follow their hearts and chose a career in the fulfilling but faltering music industry. She earns her beer money as a publicist and writer, and spends her spare time cooking, biking, and trying to decide if she's ready to get a cat.
