Don’t Miss the Last House of Vans Party of the Summer– Wednesday, 8/24!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Hey, ladies– wanna cruise for hot skater guys in Hawaiian shirts while sipping (read: chugging) some beer and watching awesome bands, all for FREE?  Or maybe you’re a Big Man and jonesing to partake in the last two activities, sans the skater babe-watching?  If so, head on over to House of Vans in Greenpoint this Wednesday, 8/24 for the last installment in their series of summer house parties– Converge, Touche Amore, and Krallice will be making that warehouse explode with musical goodness.

If you haven’t been to House of Vans yet this summer– don’t miss this!  The warehouse space is gigantic and totally awesome, attracting Serious Skaters, megahipsters and tarted-up high schoolers alike (the only downside to this all-ages venue).  There’s also usually FREE beer– and we all know that there aren’t many places in New York City where you can get drunk and watch good bands completely gratis.  The show starts at 7pm, on a first-come, first-serve basis– people start lining up around 5pm, and they open the doors at 6:30pm.  Be sure to RSVP online in advance, and check out the House of Vans website for full details.  If you’ve heard people talking about this place all summer just like I have, that’s because it really is the shit.  Totally FREE, totally fun.  Don’t miss their last house party of the summer!
