FREE Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park this Sunday

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Ever wanted to sit with King Arthur at the round-table? Did you ever want to fight in the Crusades? Ever wonder if you could survive the Black Death plague? Well keeping hoping and wondering but if you want to know what it was like to live during the Middle Ages then head over to Fort Tryon Park on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011.

When you arrive you will be greeted by performers, jesters and jugglers with authentic medieval music properly completing the environment’s ambiance. From 11am-6pm there will be food, drinks and entertainment which is all concluded by a joust involving four knights on horseback. You have the option to come dressed for the event or you could pretend you’re a broke-ass time traveler because the admission is absolutely FREE.

Unfortunately mother nature might rain on this festival and if she does the festival will be re-scheduled for October 9th. For any more info and a look at last year’s highlights you can go to the event’s homepage.

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
