FREE Gypsy Jazz with Beso Negro Tonight at Yoshi’s SF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Yoshi’s SF has marked January as FREE local talent month. Stop by the lounge tonight, Thursday, January 26th to see Beso Negro  and their darker, faster, more danceable, more bluesey, Gypsy version of jazz. Beso Negro hithers from the North Bay with some roots in Spain. The band has an eerie, country sound which sometimes boasts a hint of polka. Crazy, right? But trust me, you’ll love it. The musicians are super talented and can play a whole slew of fun instruments.  They’ve got a stand up bass, fiddles and banjos. They sing in both English and Spanish – and sometimes they make you want to just jump up and shout, “Ole!” Listen to Beso Negro here for a taste of what you’ll see tonight.
