“Bad Movies & the People Who Love Them” Variety Show FREE Tomorrow Night at Public Assembly

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I’m pretty sure you have one bad movie that you enjoy watching over and over again. It’s a guilty pleasure and you just hate to admit it.

Fortunately for you there is actually a group of people that get together to watch these atrocities as a hobby. They share their love for bad movies and take pleasure in watching them. So just like Tom Cruise, you’re not alone in your weird recreational activities.

I Love Bad Movies is a zine (self-published magazine) of essays, illustrations and comics about great-bad films. This group that loves to celebrate a cinematic oxymoron has joined forces with a similar bad movie lovers, the podcasting trio (Stuart Wellington, Dan McCoy and Elliot Kalan) known as The Flop House, and together they have created the infamous “Bad Movie Night.”

Tomorrow, for one night only, on Wednesday, September 19th, the 4th installation of this bad movie night will be happening in Wiliamsburg at the Back Room of Public Assembly. Admission is absolutely FREE, because who would force you to pay to watch a bad movie? Only horribly evil people. This event will be for those 21 and over because a full bar will be available all evening. There will also be FREE Asahi beer for the first half hour, so get there early. The night of awful movies begins at 9pm. Don’t miss out, broke-asses.

Have fun sitting through the crappy movies!!!

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
