It may be a little early for actual Spring cleaning, but one of the many lessons learned from being in a shoebox sized apartment is that you need to consistently reduce clutter. Whether your closet is overflowing with clothing you don’t wear, or you were randomly given coffee table books and life size paintings over the holidays, it’s easy to find yourself surrounded by things you just don’t need.
The good news? This Saturday there is an awesome event for those of us trying to create space. The team at is holding a this Saturday, February 23 at the Salvation Army Harlem Temple. You’re welcome to bring clothing, electronics, appliances, toys, books and more clean and portable items for swapping with the only restriction being furniture and large items. As long as your belongings are clean and in good shape, they’re welcome. Even better? There’s no requirement to bring anything in order to take anything, so you’re encouraged to grab what interests you. The best part? Stop ‘n’ Swaps help reduce waste in NYC. Oh yeah, it’s completely FREE.
The event runs from 12:00PM to 3:00PM, get there early if you want to donate!
