Only the refined need apply.
Well drunkies, another year hath past, and once more the city’s fantastic finest descended upon the dusky floorboards of Café Du Nord for the 8th Annual San Francisco Mid-Winter Bar Workers Ball. Powerful tipples were provided courtesy of our co-sponsor 7×7 and Beam Global (with lots of free grub from Du Nord’s kitchen) as every gin slinger from the Marina to Visitación Valley tumbled in and ponied up in the their dandiest threads and hobnobbed with their brethren from across town.
The contests were spectacular feats of insanity, as per usual, presided over by our illustrious panel of judges Katy St. Clair, Marke B., Riley Manlapaz and the Editor-In-Cheap, himself, Broke-Ass Stuart. Marrying the train wrecks together and soothing the savage beasts were the beautiful princes of sound that evening, Sonny Phono, Bus Station John and Sergio Fedasz.
To see more evidence of the evening’s blow-by-blow check out 7×7 and Tara Luz Stevens of Drew Altizer Photography. And for some “formal” portraits of the night’s guests, check out the awesome shots provided by SnapFiesta.
My humble thanks to everyone that donated their time to make this ball the best so far, but most of all to all you incredible San Franciscans who bust your ass every day just to show ‘em a good time.
