Books and Summer.

Such a lovely marriage. Don’t you think?

A beautiful story unfolding with every word, as the sun shines on the city, can be as calming as sounds of waves crashing onto the shore on a moonlit night. In fact, any season is the perfect season for reading. But, this Summer, Bryant Park will host their popular “Word for Word” author events every Wednesday, beginning on May 15. They will be bringing the mind behind those stories to you!

Talk show queen and gossip diva Wendy Williams will kick off the series which includes “literary writers such as Colum McCann, Jami Attenberg and Lionel Shriver, to former Yankees and Mets player Dwight Gooden, comedians Aisha Tyler and Marc Maron (WTF Podcast), sex columnist Dan Savage and best-selling authors Ben Mezrich, Lauren Weisberger, Chuck Klosterman, Lily Koppel and more.”

It sounds like there’s a little something for everyone.

Each event will take place on Wednesdays from 12:30pm-1:45pm at Bryant Park. (Look for the burgundy and white umbrellas.) A few special non-Wednesday events will also expected, please visit the Bryant Park website for more info and details.

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
