Trump Fortune-Telling Machine Placed at Trump Tower

Remember the movie Big with Tom Hanks? When he puts a coin into an unusual antique arcade fortune teller machine called Zoltar Speaks, and makes a wish to be “big”. It dispenses a card stating “Your wish is granted”…
Well, anonymous artists in New York City put Donald Trump in one of those fortune telling machines and got impersonator Anthony Atamanuik to do his voice. The one liners are funny, if not sadly close to actual Trump quotes. The anonymous artists worked with the makers of the original Zoltar Speaks machine makers (Characters Unlimited) to create the project, and are currently rushing the machine around NYC making several tailored appearances in front of iconic buildings.

It’s reminiscent of when guerilla artist group Decline, put naked statues of Trump in several cities across America, but it has gone one step farther. Trump is now animatronic and dispensing fortunes.

The ‘Zoltar’ Trump machine tells people that they “look poor” and that they should let a “rich puppet tell their future”. When a button is pushed it prints out a card with a “misfortune”. He also says things like; Trump’s America includes a recession and high-speed deportation trains “that run on green energy — salsa verde.” He says he’s going to deport Mexicans using high speed trains, better than the Germans make.
Honestly, I’m not sure it’s funny anymore. I think it strikes many as a sad reminder, that nearly half our country thinks a guy like Donald Trump should lead the free world.
