A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to La Cocina. A night on the pier celebrating local crafters, artists, and designers. Enjoy 60+ independent vendors selling crafts, designs, and delectables for men, women, kids, homes, and pets. Enjoy food from participating food trucks, Tres Truck and Little Green Cyclo. Sweet treats by Civil Pops and Shades of Sugar Bakeshop.

PAXTON GATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY AND HOLIDAY PARTY

ANDY RICKER, POK POK: THE DRINKING FOOD OF THAILAND

A celebration of the thrill and spirit of Thai drinking food, Andy Ricker’s follow-up to Pok Pok brings the same level of authority, with a more laid-back approach. Thailand has its own roster of addictive snacks: spicy, salty, and sour, they are perfect accompaniments for a few drinks and the company of good friends.

CLOWNS CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS

Coventry and Kaluza to the stage, two legendary Bay Area Clowns who will inspire us with their circus antics and tell us about their own holiday show, Mittens and Misteltoe: a Winter Circus Cabaret.

CHARIF SHANAHAN & SAM SAX: POETRY

In this affecting poetry debut, Charif Shanahan explores what it means to be fully human in our wounded and divided world. In poised yet unrelenting lyric poems, Shanahan–queer and mixed-race–confronts the challenges of a complex cultural inheritance, informed by colonialism and his mother’s immigration to the United States from Morocco, navigating racial constructs, sexuality, family, and the globe in search of “who we are to each other . . . who we are to ourselves.”

What started as a drunken joke for Finnerty singing I Am Woman at a karaoke bar has spiraled out of control into THE DAN BAND and soon he caught America’s attention as the foul-mouthed wedding singer in the box-office smash Old School, performing his now-infamous rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

BLACK GIRL

Mbissine Thérèse Diop’s magnetic and devastating performance in Ousmane Sembene’s feature is by turns tough, swift, and true in its aim. Diouana leaves Senegal with dreams of a more carefree and glamorous existence in France, where she procures a job as a live-in maid and nanny for a young couple on the French Riviera. She is gradually deadened by the endless routines and tasks and rhythms of life in the tiny apartment, and by the dissatisfactions felt by the husband and wife, which they project onto their “black girl.”

DISNEY TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS LIVE
WED. 12/6 | 8:00PM @ BARCLAYS CENTER
Pumpkin King Danny Elfman will perform his legendary role of Jack Skellington in a very special screening, with the music performed live by a full orchestra and choir, of this timeless holiday classic. Elfman will be joined by other original cast members, including Catherine O’Hara(Sally) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie), who will all sing live during the movie.
