Free Live Music at The Rumble SF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I would mind having a Cash Pony

The Rumble SF is a monthly live music showcase from the people behind NoisePop and Treasure Island Music Festival. It’s been going on for a couple months now at a couple different venues in the city, (and it’s not just limited to SF, apparently) but this month I’m obligated to talk about it because it’s right in my backyard at Milk Bar on Haight. Between The Rumble and Epicsauce‘s semi-weekly Thursday night shows, Milk Bar is quickly shedding it’s image as a divey reggaeton club and adding “rock venue” to it’s resume.

The Rumble’s lineup this month includes City Light, The Downer Party, and Chasing Kings. There’s also a happy hour show with Cash Pony and DJ Bagel Ted will be filling in any empty space. And of course, the flyer is advertising Trumer Pils beer specials, but no word on the price. (My money’s on $3)

Admission is FREE if you RSVP on SonicLiving, which is kind of like a social network for people who go to shows, except no one really uses it for anything but RSVPing to free concerts. Hop on over to the event page here on Futuresounds to listen to the bands so you act like  you’ve already heard of them when you get there.

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
