Lower Branch is back again for their Two Year Anniversary at 111 Minna Gallery and if you were in attendance last year then you know it it was bonkers! They bring with them artwork from 20+ artists from two coasts and a musical line up like none other with cuts being held down by DJ Quest and DJ 2Fresh in the 2nd st gallery while DJ Bad DJ hosts the Zappa room with performances by ZMan, Rec League, Rime Force Most Illin, Mint Rock, and Khafre of BPOS. Friday August 24th at 111 Minna Gallery SF 8pm – 2am and as always only $5 at the door 21+ w ID. Stuart Schuffman, aka Broke-Ass Stuart, is a travel writer, poet, TV host, activist, and general shit-stirrer. His website BrokeAssStuart.com is one of the most influential arts & culture sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and his freelance writing has been featured in Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, The Bold Italic, Geek.com and too many other outlets to remember. His weekly column, Broke-Ass City, appears every other Thursday in the San Francisco Examiner. Stuart’s writing has been translated into four languages. In 2011 Stuart created and hosted the travel show Young, Broke, and Beautiful on IFC and in 2015 he ran for Mayor of San Francisco and got nearly 20k votes.
