Manny’s Hosts an All-Day Live Mueller Report Reading

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Have you read all 448 pages of the Mueller report? If you haven’t, you’re in the good company of most Americans and majority of Congress. But have no fear, you can have the whole dang thing read to you Thursday.

Manny’s is hosting an all-day, word for word, reading of the Special Counsel report. Beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at midnight, different readers will take on 15 to 30-minute chunks of the two-volume document in front of a live audience and the whole thing will be made available for anyone to see via livestream.

According to the Facebook event page, results of the investigation that lasted more than two years will come alive with the help of “elected officials, city leaders, community members, actors, activists, academics, labor leaders, and artists.”

The live event is free to all who want to drop by Manny’s at 3092 16th Street but they do offer tickets through Eventbrite so they have an idea of crowd size and can prepare. The venue encourages people to bring their phones and stream the reading using “baby tripods” they will be supplying.

As the Manny’s statement reads:

“We need to call attention to the important findings within this report and show what San Francisco values really mean.”

So, if you haven’t gotten around to reading the report or if you’re on the fence (unlike the president) about whether Trump and entourage are in fact guilty of things like obstruction, get in on this reading event to fully understand the material and form an educated opinion about “one of the most important political documents of our time.”

In case you need a little prep, you can download the full report here or read our full transcript and analysis of Robert Mueller’s one and only pubic statement here.

Borrowing more language from Manny’s statement:

“If we all hold hands we can do this together!”

P.S. Our very own Stuart Schuffman has volunteered as one of the several readers.
