Starting May 1st (TODAY, people!), and closing May 28th, Refinery 29 is setting up a Pop-Up Shop (aka a campaign called Save Fashion) at the, errr,  Port Authority Bus Terminal.  Though the aim is obviously to stimulate buying fashion within the financial crisis, the official word is that it is meant to “create[s] a stylish environment where struggling designers [can] sell overstock and be seen by a wider audience” in New York.

Labels will include (but aren’t limited to) Catherine Holstein, Rag & Bone, Rachel Comey, Sue Stemp, Helmut Lang, Rachel Comey, Charlotte Ronson, Acne/Band of Outsiders, Rogan, and Steven Alan.  Essentially, it’s what Refinery 29 is already doing online…except way cheaper for you; discounts start from AT LEAST 50% off!  In addition, each week new labels and merchandise will be featured (check the Refinery 29 blog for sneak peeks on that).  And rumor has it that designers might even be making random cameos  at Port Authority.

Also, remember that amazing Mad Men Playboy shoot from this past summer?  Well, here’s Mr. Pete Campbell himself sporting some Band of Outsiders.  If there’s anything more awesome than dressing like the characters of Mad Men on a budget in the depths of a recession, I’d sure like to know about  it.
