‘This Little Piggy’ Sandwich Shop Tastes Damn Good

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Great discoveries are always unintentional. America, potato chips, and the best roast beef sandwich this side of the East River.

This sandwich dive is the kind of place that traffics in all the cuts that make up a great sandwich. Roast Beef, pastrami, and even some cheese whiz thrown in for good measure.

Like a veteran bartender, they’ll chop up a sampling of their wares and place it before you with a plethora of dipping sauces, no questions asked.

Then it’s up to you to choose from the Dr Seuss-ian sandwich choices of “This Way” or “That Way”, or you can even go rogue and order the “Something Else” if you’re feeling high maintenance. Either way, your appetite doesn’t stand a chance against these hearty combination’s that make Hungry Man meals look like tapas.

Like all hole-in-the wall eateries, just follow the cab drivers and delivery boys to know where the good stuff is. Follow it up with some Pork Slap and other local brews, where they throw in a free slider with any beer purchase, and pat yourself on the back for being such an intrepid culinary explorer.

Then cry joyful tears all the way home.

Laura S, left the "sixth borough" three years ago to settle in Brooklyn. After working at some daily rags, she now does writing on the side but still eats more Ramen then necessary. When she's not moving residences every 6 months, eating her way through every neighborhood, and trying every microbrew known to man, she is unsuccessfully rediscovering home economics. With her binging days behind her, she's now exploring new projects and rediscovering the city that she loves (although is still prone to sliding on her knees during a Prince karaoke set).
