Cheap Old School Bowling

Pin Pals!

Pin Pals!

I am too young to really remember what the 70’s were like but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to re-live them just the same.  Now, it is possible for us all to leisure-time- travel by taking advantage of specials at the Gutter Bar in Williamsburg. The masterminds at the Gutter are now offering two-for-one bowling Monday through Thursday from 1am till closing and Fridays 2pm–6pm.
The Gutter features vintage décor, lanes and bowling machines that are guaranteed to bring back that loving feeling for times past.  They even have throwback candy in a vintage machine…Rolos anyone?  Bask in the glow of the beer-themed hanging lamps and wood paneling while surrounded by bowling trophies and memorabilia circa 1972.  With the money you saved you can even take a piece of nostalgia home with you by purchasing a vintage bowling bag or tee shirt. So go to the place that brought bowling to the ‘burg and while you are bowling at a reduced rate, enjoy one dollar off drafts and well drinks and three dollars off pitchers (Monday through Friday before 8pm and Monday through Thursday after 1am).  Or skip the bowling all-together and enjoy the happy hours from the most comfortable and ample bar stools in the city.

Christine Witmer - Sparing Stringer

Christine Witmer - Sparing Stringer

Christine was born and raised in the land of the Pilgrims, Plymouth, Massachusetts. She turned in her buckled shoes when she moved to NYC to attend NYU. From that esteemed University she received her BFA in theatre as well as a Master’s Degree in Performance Studies in 2004.
Now an actor, writer and broke ass day-jobber, Christine juggles her many personas with the elegance of a red panda…. specifically the one in the Prospect Park Zoo . . . soooooo cute! She can be found most often in her own habitat on the Northside of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
