Bring your Fangs to Coney Island Tonight

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Tell me, broke-asses, just how shameless are ye? Tonight is the last full moon ride on the Cyclone at Coney Island — that is, it’s your last chance to be terrified for your life under a full moon (outside of taking a night trip to East New York, that is). An $8 ticket isn’t terrible, but it isn’t really broke-ass friendly. That money could buy you 8 frozen Michelina’s entrees. Or a fifth of Montezuma!

But if you show up tonight in vampire or werewolf makeup (and you thought you’d never use all up after Twilight premiere), the friendly people at Coney will give you $2 off. It might be embarrassing, or it could be really fun. Who knows! All I know is you will go home with enough pocket change to feed yourself two shitty frozen meals… but not ride the bus. New York City, everybody!

Full Moon Ride on the Cyclone
Starts at 7:00 pm
Tuesday, August 24
34 Surf Ave at West 10th St, Brooklyn NY 11214 [Brooklyn]
$2 off with costume

Polina Yamshchikov - Flirt Poor

Polina is Siberian by way of Alabama, and therefore cannot pronounce "fire" or "iron" correctly but despite this can still woo men with her cooking skills and enormous Russian cheeks. She can usually be spotted on the streets of Brooklyn either yelling into a cell phone in one of five languages or swilling gin at an inappropriate hour of the morning.
