Feast of San Gennaro Kicks Off Tonight!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Are you ready for some cannolliiiiiiii!?!?! (Please read in the style of “Are you ready for some fooooootballll?!”). I sure hope so because today is the opening day of the 84th annual Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy, the Italian festival that celebrates the patron saint of Naples and will help you justify eating one each day now through Sept. 26th.

During this free 11 day fest, Little Italy will be one big block party complete with restaurants expanding their sidewalk seating, over 200 area vendors to fill your sausage and pepper needs, games, live music, and soft twinkly lights hanging overhead. To get things started right, there is a cannoli eating contest today from 2-3PM… after all, it wouldn’t be a true Italian celebration if someone didn’t get to yell “Mangia, Mangia.”
