Get fuzzy with the Muppet Vault

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If, like me, you have been known to do things like re-plan a trip itinerary to see a Jim Henson exhibit and then at that exhibit, get scolded very loudly from security several times for taking non-stop photographs, apparently we are not alone. The Muppet Vault is a monthly series featuring classic, rare, and unreleased videos from the Muppets, Sesame Street, and the works of Jim Henson so we can revel in our fandom without annoying rules getting all up in our grillz.

Each month features a different theme complete with favorite clips, trivia and prizes and drink specials. February’s theme is “Movies”… I know, like “Muppets Take Manhattan” COULD GET ANY BETTER, right?! (“Maybe we should add more special effects, like exploding socks.” Oh, Gonzo!) The event is sponsored by Secret Formula and Toughpigs.com, the latter a haven for all-growned-up puppet lovers just like us.

Jill is an Ohio native and Boston University graduate who refuses to stop saying "pop" and wearing her Red Sox gear despite being heckled for doing so since moving to Brooklyn. She's been honing her thrifty ways since doing that silly thing people talk about when they ignore reason to follow their hearts and chose a career in the fulfilling but faltering music industry. She earns her beer money as a publicist and writer, and spends her spare time cooking, biking, and trying to decide if she's ready to get a cat.
