The Redhook waterfront isn’t very bayou-like. The closet you’ll see to a catfish is a rat that fell in the water, and Ikea doesn’t stock itself with Cyprus trees. But this weekend, The Jalopy Music Theatre is going to be alive with the man made sounds of the bayou.
The Bayou-n-Brooklyn festival is a two day event filled with accordion players, zydeco bands, Cajun bands, fiddle workshops, a gumbo dinner, blues music and a community jam session. So strap on your Stetson hat and your gator skin shoes and get ready to dance. And get your tickets now, there’s a discount for advance sales.
