FREE Screening of “E.T” at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum

Remember when the government agents were holding shot-guns instead of walkie-talkies right before E.T. took off with Elliot? If you do then you were old enough to have seen “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” back in the 80’s. (The 80’s, wow that was so long ago.) I love E.T., it’s one of my fondest memories as a child. When it was re-released for the 20th Anniversary in 2002, I actually paid to see it in the theater despite the fact that I’ve seen it for free for years.

Thankfully I wont have to do that this Friday. The great people that run the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum will be screening the movie for FREE. As a native New Yorker, this might be the closest I’ll ever get to watching a drive-in movie — except I’ll be surrounded by boats and fighter jets — so this might actually be better. Anyone who will be attending is encouraged to make their own experience comfortable. You can bring your own lawn chairs, food, snacks, picnic baskets and non-alcoholic drinks.

What are you waiting for? This is the perfect date you’ve been waiting for, the opportunity to share something special with your children or a chance to just hang out with friends to do something different. So if you like aliens stranded on a Earth, Reese’s Pieces and an extremely young Drew Barrymore, head over to the Intrepid Museum on Friday at 7:30pm.

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
