FREE Stenciling and Drinks for Stencil 201 Book Launch Tonight!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If you engaged in any of these Black Friday alternatives, then you know that there are better ways to check off names on your holiday gift-giving list than fighting over the last sweater with a 20% markdown. Coming up with gifts for others, or a nice treat for yourself, can actually be fun, as you’ll be able to see at the Stencil 201 reading and crafting event at Powerhouse tonight.

For the launch of his new book, Stencil 201, graphic designer Ed Roth will be hosting a craft night with Etsy. You’ll be able to preview the 20 retro-cool and cute designs featured in his book, and take a crack at stenciling yourself. All you need to do is RSVP and bring a blank t-shirt, tote bag, or other fabric, the stencils and Sharpies will be provided. Plus, there will be drinks, so you can test your drunk “color-in-the-lines” skills.

Tiara Francis - NY Know-it-all

Tiara was born in NYC, raised in NJ, and after studying Comp Lit at Columbia, vowed to never go back to the suburbs. While she has expensive taste, she also has shallow pockets and is always looking for a budget way to be a weekend warrior. Her hobbies include laughing way too loudly, putting hot sauce on/in everything - including margaritas - speaking French at inappropriate moments, and dancing like there’s no one else in da club.
