“One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure.” In this case it’s some people’s artwork. Literally.
Tonight you are all welcome to Brooklyn’s Muriel Guépin Gallery, where you’ll be the first to witness the Detritus Splendors exhibition. This exhibit will proudly display the works of Matthew Contradt & Jennifer Williams. Just picture everyday junk you’d usually throw away, turned into aesthetically pleasing collages and other pieces of art.
If you’d like to be there for the exhibit’s inception you may do so tonight from 6:30-8pm. The reception is absolutely FREE, so if you decide to bring Howard the homeless man from the train station, you may do so. He’ll easily fit the theme of the exhibit as your own walking piece of art. You never know, you might even be offered your own gallery.
For more info on the gallery which will be running through June 3rd, 2012 or Matthew Contradt & Jennifer Williams, you may visit Muriel Guépin Gallery’s website.
