San Francisco Ticket Giveaways!!!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

So a couple different people have gotten at me recently about some cool events they’re doing and I thought, “Hey maybe I can get them to pass me FREE tickets to giveaway.”  I mean truthfully, if you come to this site often, all I’ve given you thus far is ways to expand your waistline and contributions to your future cirrhosis.  So I figure I might as well try to finagle a way to make your slow demise an entertaining one ( I mean for you.  Your slow demise is already entertaining for me.).

The first event is coming up on this Friday, July 31st at The Verdi Club.  It’s a fundraiser for The Bay Bridged, a non-profit that supports and promotes local indie music.  There will be performances by French Miami, Adam Stephens and the Finite Plain, Or the Whale, and Monica’s favorite: Leopold and his Fiction.  Plus there’ll be a DJ set by one of the nicest guys in local music, John Vanderslice.  I think there will be food there, but I’m not sure if it’s free.  Please note that this is a fundraiser (they are charging $15-$30 sliding scale at the door), so if you do score these tix, feel free to donate a little something at the event.  I have one (1) pair to give away.

The next event is being put on by my man Rick Abruzzo.  It’s an audience participatory game show called What’s your Answer.  Describes it as, “The comedy trivia night, where the funniest answer wins! We ask sorta real trivia questions and your team comes up with the funniest answer. Win points by scoring laughs!”  Sounds fun right?  It’s also BYOB!  This event goes down on August 5th at 8pm at Chez Poulet and costs $5 to get in.  BUT just tell them that Broke-Ass Stuart sent you, and you get in 2-for-1!  I have one (1) pair of tix for this event as well.

So, do these event sound like something you’d be into?  I thought so!  If you wanna win, please email at info@brokeassstuart.com and include your name, which show you’re vying for, and your favorite cheap thing to do in SF.  Winners will be chosen at random.  If you don’t get an email, then you didn’t win.  Please note: I will be adding your email to my email list unless you explicitly ask me not too. Thanks and good luck!
