$3 Jagermeister and Hard Up Dudes at Le Perle Degli Squallor This Sat.

When it comes to setting a mood, few promoters are as adept as DJ Bus Station John.  If you’ve ever been to one of his nights around town, you’ll know the smut envelopes all the senses – from his deft array of bathhouse vinyl to the ample display of cock shots.

He really digs the good old days when sleaze was unapologetic and could be had for cheap, which works for you, because his party venues tend to be of the seedy Tenderloin variety.  Cheap covers and drinks so strong they scald your throat are the general rule.

After the killjoys that live around the Gangway put an end to his local darling Manquake, he moved things over to the Hotspot with Le Perle Degli Squallor, which goes off this Saturday.  The cover is five but Jager, Cape Codders and Tecate are $3 all night.

And if you can’t get enough of slutty guys, gasoline cocktails and cruisey disco, his venerable Tubesteak Connection is always to be had at Aunt Charley’s Lounge every Thursday.

Stephen Torres - Threadbare-Fact Finder

Stephen's early years were spent in a boxcar overlooking downtown Los Angeles. From there he moved around the state with his family before settling under the warm blanket of smog that covers suburban Southern California. Moving around led to his inabilty to stay in one place for very long, but San Francisco has been reeling him back in with its siren song since 1999. By trade he pours booze, but likes to think he can write and does so occasionally for people like the SF Bay Guardian. He also likes to enoy time spent in old eateries, bars and businesses that, by most standards, would have been condemned a long time ago.
